Earth Casters

Earth:

The Earth beneath your feet remains solid. Even walking amongst the sands, you find balance in your foundation. Those that delve into Earth Magic find that, just like the very rock and stone around them, their bodies have begun to take on heartier qualities.

Earth Magic is not for the faint of heart, for the very essence of this type of magic can become very addictive. Earth magic, through time, has always been viewed from the outside as being gentle, peaceful even, a means to commune and interpret the natural order of things. However, Earth Magic embodies the natural disasters, the earthquakes and avalanches that can reshape the landscape at a moment's notice. Those that practice this magic may look at a barrier and view it not as a limitation but a challenge to shatter.

Strengths:

Earth Casters mold ideas, concepts, and constructs into reality, utilizing their magic as a means to create the impossible. There is a degree of importance placed on the material world for Earth Casters, viewing the here and now as the very groundwork necessary to grow.

Those that harness the Earth find comfort in developing themselves, hardening their body, honing their skills day after day as their inward strength begins to blossom. Others view Earth Casters as safe, protectors of those close to them, finding a means to create a family and home amongst all walks.

Weaknesses:

Earth Casters struggle with stagnation, finding comfort in the stability and shying away from emotional concepts or compassion. Some Earth Casters may take their practice a step further and find isolation to be the epitome of their practice, viewing survival as a justification for their rigidity and cruelty. Additionally, someone who obsesses over their craft may lose sight of their long-term goals, instead growing fixated on short-term resources, materium, and time itself.

Those who commune with the Earth will find that over time, their moral compass may erode away, viewing necessary loss as a means to grow, developing questioning morals and a lack of compassion when necessity dictates destruction. For an Earth Caster, even the oldest of forests still need to burn at times in order to allow their rare beauties to grow.
